Reality TV dominates the television airwaves in terms of overall programming from American Idol to Master Chef. Yet, America continues to embrace select scripted television programs and it seems that the shows that last are those with the calibre of cast members who are synergistic in their creative role playing on camera, ultimately making the script appear as nonexistent and their words seem "real".
For that reason, it is not surprising that Pauley Perrette has been voted as America's Top TV Actor due to the fact that Perrette has an incredible gift of taking words and making them her own. Her work speaks for itself. In watching her play her role as Abby Sciuto on the popular NCIS, it seems that we are not watching fiction but reality. Pauley P simply has an innate gift to make us all believe Abby is real. Watching her is relaxing, entertaining and gives one the experience of a script transcending to reality TV. Cut to the chase, Pauley is just real with it. Very few actors possess this gift indeed.
We've all heard the phrase, "What goes around comes around". Well for Pauley, this acting accomplishment and accolade I believe is a boomerang effect from her tireless efforts off stage working to support multiple nonprofits that support kids, animals, anti-bullying and all of the causes that need deserved attention and solution based community efforts throughout the nation.
The cast of NCIS as a whole represents a synergistic union of a perfectly selected creative cast who together bring their unique gifts of acting to us as a whole in a way that seems effortless and at the same time represent a group who also understands the gift to give back to the world. From Mark Harmon to Pauley P and the entire production staff, this award for Pauley P reflects their cast synergy and abilities to reach the nation. In spite of the domination of Reality TV in terms of overall programming,NCIS continues to keep its place in America's heart.
For that, there is only one thing that comes to mind to express here. Congratulations, Pauley.
