Best known for her film role in “Fast and Furious,” actress Michelle Rodriquez pushed the new Jaguar F-TYPE SVR to 201 MPH in the Nevada desert.
The new Jaguar is the fastest model yet. Michelle drove the car on a closed highway, home to the fastest road race, the Silver State Classic Challenge. The 201 MPH reached by the actress is a personal top speed for Michelle.
Rodriquez said, ““Driving this car was insane! I’ve now broken my personal speed record in the beautiful Jaguar F-TYPE SVR. Reaching 201mph felt amazing, the car drove really smoothly, all my corrections were minimal, I was super focused, and it really reacted in all the right ways. I don’t think I’d ever go this fast without a professional driver seated next to me, but oh man, it was an incredible feeling.”
The Fast and Furious actress previously had a top speed driving experience of 140 MPH. She had this to say about her new personal record, “ “I’ve always wondered what it was like to travel faster than my top speed of 140mph and, outside of the Autobahn, it’s impossible for me to do it safely anywhere else and safety is most important to me. It was refreshing to be able to take myself beyond my limitations, going that fast is a big responsibility but the experience in this car was more graceful than anything I’ve felt before.”
The Jaguar F-TYPE SVR, promoted as the first 200 MPH Jaguar is a Special Vehicle Operations endeavor developed by Jaguar Land Rover.
The F-TYPE SVR is the first Jaguar SVR and fastest F-TYPE ever. Acceleration from 0-60mph takes just 3.5 seconds, with a top speed of 200mph for the Coupé. Priced from £110,000 for the Coupé and £115,485 for the Convertible, more details available on www.jaguar.com
